Radial Arm Saws

Are they really as useful as they are hyped up to be? I have one, about 1970 model, it is made by Teco. I did not know much about it and did not have a lot of success with it, (should have read the directions first) I found out the hard way that you have to learn what the powertool can and what it cannot do. These early powertools took a lot of tender care and maintenance, as do the ones from today.I still have the radial arm saw, it has been relegated to a few tasks, the ones it is best suited for. More on this subject later.
